Looking for a room in Montreal, starting August 1st until September 30th

I am a German M.A. student living and studying in Italy at the University of Pavia for the Master Degree Course Cultural Heritage - Correct Restorations and control and prevention of degradation processes of Music Instruments and Scientific and Technical Instruments.
Before moving to Italy for my second M.A., I studied in Germany and earned a B.A. in Lutherie and History of Stringed Instruments.
Through my university, I have been granted admission to the Erasmus Internship Programme for Canada. My mother tongue is German, I also speak fluent Italian, and school English but unfortunately not French. I am rather quiet, at first even a bit shy, but am a friendly, clean, tidy, organized, and reliable person. Friendship is very important for me, in Europe I have mgI don't smoke, I am a vegetarian, and love nature and animals. I like many kinds of music, especially classical music, and singing in a choir. I also love to make violins, draw, paint, woodcarving, read, go for walks and hikes, visit museums and art expositions, and build and repair all sorts of things. I really enjoy good talks with friends and getting together with good friends at home or in the outdoors.

I will be arriving in Montreal from Italy on the 1st of August 2022. My Internship will be starting on the 2nd of August and will end on the 30th of September.
I would like to spend my 2 months in Montreal in a shared apartment so that I could socialize with other students /young people after my internship hours.
Since I don't know the city at all, I would prefer to live close to or not too far from Rue Rachel E, in the Plateau area close to the Conservatoire on Henri-Julien and the Mont-Royal Metro station. However, I would also consider other options. The room does not need to be fancy. I am looking for a single, fully furnished room with an attached bathroom and a nearby laundry facility. Perhaps, an apartment with several rooms (single-sex or mixed-sex) would be best. If necessary, I am willing to have a shared bathroom and a shared toilet. Since I am a vegetarian, I would like to cook my own food, so accommodation with a fully equipped kitchen would be important. If not possible, also a room in the hall of a private home/ student residence would be good enough for me. It wouldn't matter if the hall/the apartment were single-sex, or mixed-sex. If none of the above-mentioned arrangements were available, then I would not mind living with a local family or persons living not far from Rue Rachel.
