French intern in Finance searching for a room in Manhattan for 6 months and looking for discovering everything NY has to offer !

I am an intern for the French bank CIC in Manhattan (Madison avenue) for 6 months. I would like to rent a room for the length of my stay, preferably in Manhattan, in a cool apartment ! I love sports, I plan on playing soccer 2-3 times a week, and watching american football and basketball as much as I can ! This is my first time in NY but not in the US (I studied at the University of Oklahoma as an exchange student in 2013), so I also plan to visit each of NY neighborhood during weekends, and as many other cities as I can, and also party on NY rooftops ! I am very clean, quiet and respectful. I spent 5 months at the University of Oklahoma with 3 roommates from all over the world and everything went well !
