Looking for a room in Manhattan

I'm starting as an account manager at an advertising agency in midtown. I spent the last year working in Australia and have just moved back.

I'm looking for a place anywhere between LES and UES. Ideally something new-ish and modern. Doorman type, if possible. Most importantly, clean and decorated (aka an adult apartment).

I'd love to branch out and meet new people. Roommates that are respectful and laid back during the week, but definitely down to go out and explore on weekends. I'm super open and fully believe in communication over a bottle of wine to resolve problems.

I didn't check party animal because that felt really aggressive, but I for sure like to go out (clubs, concerts, bars.. all that)

I said yes to furnished and no to animals, but am honestly open to either.
