Big sunny room in a big apartment in front of Jean-Talon metro station

Salut!

Nous louons une grande chambre meublée dans notre 7 1/2, situé juste en face du métro Jean-Talon. En métro, on arrive au Plateau en 10 minutes et au centre-ville en 15 ou 20 minutes.

LA CHAMBRE
La chambre a de grandes fenêtres et est ensoleillée tout l'après-midi. Elle est meublée d'un lit double, d'une commode, d'un fauteuil et d'un bureau (il n'y a pas de garde-robe ou de penderie). Le prix est de 630$ tout inclus (internet+hydro). Les seules choses qui ne sont pas inclus dans le prix sont les dépenses communes, par exemple le papier de toilette et les produits ménagers (savon à vaisselle, etc..).

L'APPARTEMENT
On est à 30 secondes du métro Jean-Talon (il suffit de traverser la rue), entre les quartiers Petite-Italie et Villeray. Le parc Jarry est à 10 minutes de marche, il y a un supermarché sur le coin de la rue et le Marché Jean-Talon est tout près. L'appartement est au troisième étage et a deux balcons, un à l'avant qui donne sur Chateaubriand, et un à l'arrière qui donne sur une petite ruelle tranquille. Le salon et la cuisine sont grands et ensoleillés toute la journée. Le point négatif de l'appartement est qu'il n'y a qu'une seule salle de bain... jusqu'à maintenant ça n'a pas vraiment causé de problème, mais il faut se rappeler que l'on est 5 colocs au total alors on ne prend pas de douches de 20 minutes ;) Il y a une laveuse+sécheuse dans l'appartement. Finalement, il n'est pas permis de fumer la cigarette dans la maison.

LA COLOCATION
Au total, nous serons 5 colocs. Pour le moment, il y a Maude, Alex et Bastien. Bastien se joindra à nous à partir du 1er juin. Il a 28 ans et vient d'un petit village près de Toulouse. Il travaille dans l'événementiel et comme boulanger et est dans le processus pour obtenir sa résidence au Québec. Alex est né en Colombie et est massothérapeute et musicien. Je (Maude) suis née au Québec et j'ai étudié en littérature et traduction, mais je travaille présentement en agriculture urbaine.
Nous parlons normalement français et espagnol à l'appartement, mais nous pouvons aussi parler anglais... et on serait heureux d'apprendre de nouvelles langues!
Nous avons une autre chambre à louer (voir plus bas pour le lien de l'autre annonce) et comme nous partageons l'appartement entre 5 colocs, le respect est primordial et on essaie toujours de garder les espaces communs propres (et que chaque personne fasse sa tâche hebdomadaire) et de faire attention au bruit. On préfère faire la fête à l'extérieur que d'avoir 30 personnes à la maison ;)

Hi all!

We are renting a room in our big and sunny apartment located right in front on métro Jean-Talon, on Chateaubriand. With the metro, it takes about 10 minutes to get to Plateau, and 15 minutes to get downtown.

THE ROOM
It is furnished with a double bed, a desk, a drawer and a comfy armchair (there is no closet). The room has big windows and gets sun all afternoon long. It is 630$ all included (internet+hydro). The only things that are not included and that we share between all of us are toilet paper and cleaning products (dish soap, etc...).

THE APARTMENT
It is 30 seconds away from Jean-Talon metro station (you just have to cross the street) in a really nice neighbourhood, between Petite-Italie and Villeray. Parc Jarry is 10 minutes walk, there is a supermarket on the corner of the street and cheap vietnamese markets 2 minutes away... and Jean-Talon market is about 10 minutes walk. The apartment is on the third floor, and has two balconies, one in the front, and one in the back that gives on a quiet backstreet. The living room and the kitchen are big and sunny. There is only one bathroom... until now it hasn't been a problem, but we have to keep in mind that we are 5 people sharing the apartment ;) There is a washing machine+dryer in the house. Also, we are not aloud to smoke cigarettes inside the apartment.

LA COLOCATION
We will be 5 roommates in total. For now, there is Bastien who will arrive in June, and Alex and Maude, a couple that always lived with roommates. Bastien is French and works as a baker and in the event industry. Alex is a musician and massage therapist, and was born in Colombia. I am from Quebec and studied french literature and translation and now work in urban agriculture. We usually speak french and spanish in the apartment, but we also speak english.. and would be happy to learn new languages.

Since we will be 5 roommates in total, we think respect is really important... That goes from keeping the common areas clean (and doing our weekly task) to be considerate about noise, etc. We prefer partying outside the apartment than having tons of people over ;)
