French architect and futur teaching assistant at Columbia Uni

Hello everybody,

I am a 26 french architect who will arrive in New York in January 2017 to teach at Columbia University for at leat 6 months.

I am searching to share a room (ideally furnished and english speaking) in a flat at Manhattan. Budget max 2000$

I am well used to share apartments and have been living all around the biggest cities in France - Paris and some others that you might not know such as Bordeaux, Lyon or Toulouse. I have also lived in Sweden - yeah I have seen the boreal light and done ice fishing in Lapland and in Tangier for a while trying to enumerate the clouds passing in the sky - it was about 32 at the end if I remember well.

I am a really easy going person, responsible, very neat and used to share apartment (I've even lived with an extraordinary 70 old years aristocratic woman.

Nevertheless, I am an easy living person, always ready to share a drink, stories or simples moments at home. Stereotypes obliged, I cook quite well and appreciate good wine, I never ate frog though, sorry to disappoint. I like art, good scotch, Jean Prouvé’s furnitures, graphic design, long night parties, Repetto’s zizi, cheap beers, David Bowie, black peppers, and especially cats (I don’t own one tough). I also play music and never managed to keep a plant alive more than 2 weeks.

I have some sensitive problems with fully tiled apartment (even though I could get used to it if needed so). I also like brick buildings, balcony, roof tops, big kitchen and high celling… everything you will never get with a teacher position, even at Columbia.
