Student from Vancouver BC looking for a room starting mid-late August!

Hi there! I'm a second year student in university from Vancouver BC transferring to Concordia University in September. I will be doing their French program.
I am looking for a place to move into mid to late August. I'm friendly and easy-going and I am mature for my age. I would love to live with roommates who are not only my roommates but also my friends. I would love to live in a place that's social, but quiet at times as well because Ill be a full time student at Concordia. It would be preferable if the place is within 20 min by transit to Concordia Downtown campus.
I would be interested in renting from mid-late August until May. I have some friends in Montreal that would be able to check out the place for me, since I am all the way in BC.
