New to Montreal & looking for somewhere to set up!

I'm an Australian media/marketing professional starting a new adventure in Montreal mid-July.
I've lived in many share apartments and have loved sharing a bit of life and community with those I've lived with.
At home I like to cook, read and listen to music, but also love to get out and about on foot or by bike - especially to discover a new city - finding bars and music venues, and I am always on a hunt for great baked goods!
I'm vegetarian but it doesn't bother at all me if you aren't.
My French is a little rusty but hoping it will improve quickly once am practising again!
