Looking for roommate in 2bd/1ba Alameda Apartment! 10/1

Hello! I'm Trevor, and starting 10/1/19 I will have an open room in a lovely West Alameda apartment that I would love to fill with the right person. Move in would be anytime between 10/1 and mid-October.

THE APARTMENT

This is a two-bedroom unit with a good sized living space, large kitchen space, and your own room with a shared bathroom. Everything is furnished with the essentials except your bedroom. The apartment is on the 2nd floor with no neighbors above or below. The neighborhood is quiet and I’ve never had a problem with noisy neighbors. There are washers & driers coin-operated on-site. The apartment manager here is super sweet, lives on site and cares about the property. In the past year I've lived here I've had two small maintenance requests, which were both addressed extremely promptly (within 24 hrs). The complex also has two swimming pools.

Rent is $2,416/mo, your share is $1,208 (I wrote $1,199 in case people use $1,200 as Max to search). This includes water and garbage, but not electricity, gas, and internet, which altogether run $35-$40 per person per month. The lease will be month-to-month, but I am looking for a serious renter looking to stay longer-term (at least a year).

ALAMEDA

I think Alameda is an awesome place to live – you get access to all the Bay Area has to offer while having a quieter, calmer area to return home to. There are restaurants, shops, a gym, a grocery store, and more all within walking distance on Webster. There is also Safeway and Target very close by. Alameda beach is a 20 minute walk/5 minute drive, fun to walk or bike along. The area is safe – never felt dangerous to walk around, even at night. There are bars and breweries on the west side (Faction, etc.) that are super close or other fun places to go out around the island or in nearby Oakland. There’s also In-n-Out less than a mile away!

TRANSIT

Closest BART is 12th St. Oakland, which from the apartment you can take a bus to – 12 minutes total from the front door. Otherwise, there is also the Alameda Ferry to SF & Oakland, which is a short 10 minute bike ride/5 minute drive away for both a convenient AND luxurious commute across the bay!

But, I'm not writing to sell the place - I'm writing to find the right person to live with. So here’s the bad of this place that you should know about:
• 1 covered parking space included with rent we would share – street parking is not the easiest.
• No other fancy amenities
• No dishwasher ☹
• Transit off Alameda can be hard – no super close BART
