Nice-sized bedroom with two big windows and a closet available in spacious, modern three-bedroom in Greenpoint two blocks off the Nassau Ave. G train stop, a short walk or bike ride from the Bedford L. The apartment is on the second floor and gets lots of light. It has a large kitchen with a dishwasher/ breakfast bar/ample counter space, central heat and air, a dining area, large living room, and two bathrooms. It's one of two apartments in the building and has a shared coin-operated washer/dryer in the basement. We also have Fios high-speed wireless internet. Utilities run $80-$100 (at the height of summer/winter) per person/mo.
Roommates are two ladies who have lived in the neighborhood for quite a while. The longstanding roommate has been in the apartment 10+ years and is a book editor, mid-30s, vegan (but not vegangelical), and makes a mean dirty martini. The second roommate is a busy mid-30s urban planner who is mostly vegetarian and likes cooking and theatre, particularly puppetry. We're not homebodies, but we enjoy having the occasional (dinner) party in the apartment. When we do spend time at home, we enjoy listening to records, watching movies, and cooking/ordering in.
We are looking for an awesome person for the third room, conscientious but easy-going, a nonsmoker with a solid job. We would prefer a female in her 30s. This is an extraordinary apartment--the kind that comes along once in a blue moon. With that in mind, we seek someone who is not only mature, clean, financially stable, and respectful, but also someone who will bring something positive to the apartment, enjoy the occasional drink/meal/movie, and take pride in their beautiful home.
We are looking for someone to finish out one month of this year's lease (October) and sign the one-year lease for Nov. 1. To move in you will need first month's rent and a one-month security deposit ($2050). Also, there is an application process that the landlord requires, which includes: filling out an application, providing W-2s and 1-2 bank statements, and furnishing your own credit report. Since the lease will be renewing in November, the rent will likely be going up slightly (less than ~$50 per person). Basically we're looking for a minium13-month commitment (Oct. 1, 2016-Oct. 31, 2017). Also, there is a possibility to move in around mid-September, dates negotiable with prorated rent.
